This new club feature multimaterial construction, along with strategic weight redistribution. As you might imagine, the XCG-V clubs feature a v-shaped head that enhances the sweet spot and forgiveness.
Distribution is just ramping up now to retailers nationwide. In early test sessions with the XCG-V clubs, CBSSports.com testers labeled the equipment “should consider” to golfers contemplating new clubs. In general, the Exotics line is targeted most at skilled to mid-level player.
Where are these made?
A small- to medium-sized company based in the Chicago suburbs, Tour Edge for many years was known primarily as a mass market, value-priced clubmaker. But a few years ago, it launched a premium, tour-performance division called Exotics, and the specialty unit has been growing.

Press Release from the Chiefs.
The Chicago Cubs and Peoria Chiefs have announced the 2009 Chiefs field staff which includes three familiar faces. New manager Marty Pevey will be joined by pitching coach Rich Bombard, hitting coach Barbaro Garbey and athletic trainer Kelly Vanhove.
Pevey is a newcomer to the Chicago Cubs organization after spending 13 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays as a coach and minor league manager. He began last season as the Blue Jays Major League third base coach but was let go along with the rest of John Gibbons’ staff on June 20 when Cito Gaston took over. Pevey began his coaching career with Class A Advanced Dunedin as a hitting coach in 1996. He became a manager in 1997 with Rookie level Medicine Hat. Pevey made the jump to Class A in 1998 when he led the Hagerstown Suns to the South Atlantic League semifinals and a 81-60 record.
He served as the Blue Jays bullpen coach in 1999 before returning to the minors to manage Dunedin for three straight seasons. In 2000, Pevey was named the Florida State League Manager of the Year with an 84-54 record. His 2001 team finished in second place with 71 wins and his 2002 squad finished fourth. Pevey again won Manager of the Year in 2003, this time after leading the Double A New Haven Ravens to a 79-63 record and an Eastern League finals appearance.
Pevey made the jump to Triple A Syracuse in 2004 and managed the SkyChiefs for two seasons. After a 66-78 record in 2004, Pevey led the team to a fourth place finish in the International League in 2005 with a 71-73 record. He was rewarded with a promotion to the big league club in September 2005 to finish the year as the Blue Jays first base coach. Pevey returned to the Blue Jays as the first base coach for the 2006 and 2007 seasons before making the switch to third base coach in 2008. As a minor league manager, Pevey enters the 2008 season with a record of 541-510 (.515). Among the future Major Leaguers Pevey has managed in the minors are: Roy Halladay, Vernon Wells, Jayson Werth, Alex Rios, Reed Johnson, Ryan Freel, Cezar Izturis, Dustin McGowan, Gustavo Chacin, Mark Hendrickson, Chad Gaudin and Kelvim Escobar.

for one game….. i guess this became a rule last February that Gary Bettman told all of the team GM’s.
Here is the story:
The decision by Detroit’s Pavel Datsyuk and Nicklas Lidstrom to bow out of Sunday’s NHL All-Star Game left a hole in the Western Conference roster, which lacks a player from the defending Stanley Cup champion Red Wings.
Now it will be up the Red Wings management to find replacements for the duo when the season resumes. Dastyuk and Lidstrom will be forced to sit out when the Red Wings travel to Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday, NHL’s senior executive vice president of hockey operations Colin Campbell said Friday.
“This is a policy that everyone is aware of, including all the (general) managers and teams,” Campbell said. “Detroit is aware that this is a blanket policy.”
Commissioner Gary Bettman announced the new rule at a general managers meeting last February, Campbell said. Under the policy, a player has to miss either the game before the All-Star Game or the one immediately following if he elects not participate in the exhibition.
===================
It is a rule and they have to sit but man they could use the days off. It rally should be the decision of the players.

Phil Jackson has said he will coach one more year. The 2009-2010 will be it for him. He has hd 2 hip surgeries and few other things that have just made it harder to go to work everyday.
I always liked Phil Jackson. He never went overboard on the bench. The even tempered coach has had a way to handle all caliber of players including the stars like Jordan and Bryant.
With this retirement, the contract of Kobe Bryant looms large. His contract ends after this year. Will he bolt?
Yes, he will go to Boston or New York, in my opinion, depending on the salary cap issue.

Utah Jazz: They’ve held down the fort through the season’s first half (25-17) pretty well, which is impressive considering they haven’t had their best players healthy at the same time. Between Deron Williams’ ankle and Carlos Boozer’s hamstring, as well as several other less prominent injuries, Utah has relied on its superior depth to carry it through the first half.
Boozer could be back for the season’s final month or two, which would be a huge boost. And even if he isn’t, Williams is back to playing like the Williams of old, and it’s showing in the Jazz’s recent results. Despite the injuries, the Jazz are also defending better than they ever have in the post-Stockton-Malone era, ranking 10th in defensive efficiency.
Utah has been as high as No. 5 in the Power Rankings and is currently No. 9 even without Boozer; should he come back, I’d still argue this is the one team that can legitimately say it can match the Lakers talent-wise and come out of the West.

The IHSA signed a contract with Baden as the supplier for footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, baseballs, softballs and soccer balls for the IHSA. It is a 5-Year Contract.
Wilson was the official ball for years and the IHSA said it was because they were an Illinois company based in Chicago and the $$$$ signs seemed to work right.
It’s always about the money. $$$$$$$
