Change in the game RANT…and Williamsville tourney.

Ok.
I saw 7 games today.
7- and in each one the referees did not cheat.
They were consistent.
BUT.
I don’t like it.
In every game all day long the officials did not blow the whistle. they let’em play. And they held, they grabbed, the swatted, tons of loose ball pile-ups and rolling on the floor and the famous Grant Hill hippity hop thru the lane…. and not called.
They game has changed. It is not the game I grew up playing. It is not the game I coached. I don’t like it.
Therefore, I have not changed with the game. I an old fashioned now. Did I mention I don’t like the new game?
Williamsville Toruney Best in my order (whether they won or not)
W-Latham
PORTA
Delavan
Tremont

Argenta
Sangamon Valley
That’s how I saw it today
I agree. The game is evolving and changing, but the rules have not. Something needs to be done. Change the rules, or inforce the rules.
There is no reason that great athletes and players can’t excell and showcase their talents under the old (and still current) rules of the game.
I hate that we hear that officials are being taught to ignore certain clear violations depending on the situation or the result of the violation. That is ridiculous.

I agree wholeheartedly(sp).I admit about being old school but I am also proud of it.The game today has change so much that the basic fundamentals are being ignored. It is rare to see programs with the finesse(sp) and contunuity along with the fundamentals.
